CREATION, REPAIR OR CUSTOMIZATION OF YOUR TSUKA:

  • Your Tsuka (handle) can bebraided with natural silk, leather or cotton, inHineri-makior inIkkan-maki(katate maki), with or without Hishigami. We strive to braid the Tsuka-Ito tight, so that the sword is functional.,

  • During re-braiding, theMenuki, allFuchi/Kashiraoriginal, can be replaced by other models (new or old). We can also offer you complete Tsukas.

  • Realization of a tailor-made Tsuka(in 2 parts), adapted to the tang of the saber, then pierced for the passage of the Mekugi and glued. The 2 ends of the Tsuka are suitable for Fuchi and Kashira. We can provide you with a naked or trimmed TsukaSamagawa(ray skin).

  • Replacement of the Samegawa (ray skin).  We can either paste a Samegawa ancient(if possible), either pastea new Samegawa (by band, the most economical solution or in complete winding, the most resistant solution). The center of the skin has larger nodules with a central "king" or "emperor" nodule. Since there is only one per ray skin, its use increases the cost of replacement.

  • To adapt them to everyone's practice, Tsukas that are too long can be shortened(twice the width of the Ito). The width number of Ito must always be even, in order to be able to make the new knots on the correct side. The wood is cut and reshaped to fit the Kashira.
