The customer will make a freehand survey of the profile of the blade at scale 1, on a sheet of paper. Another possible option, but plus expensive is that the customer sends us his saber. Then in a second step, once all this information in our possession, compare with the dimensions of the standard type Saya. If the dimensions match, we provide a replacement Saya, but if not we will decline or offer a custom Saya, at an additional cost.

  • 100€:Koiguchi Repairs, cracks, chips, etc.,Excluding painting and Samegawa.

This is the most common repair done on sabers.

This originates for ancient sabers, due to the fact that the Saya is made of light wood and has been exposed to the outside elements, as well as   shocks during combat.

For modern sabers,it is most of the time linked to a bad practice. Indeed, the big fault of beginners is to want to cut at all costs while part of the blade is still in the sheath, causing thin cracks or huge holes.

Although a repaired Saya is generally not as strong as the original, it is possible to strengthen the Koiguchi, so that it can withstand the many saber outings. To reinforce the Saya's Koiguchi, we use epoxy coated copper wire.It is also possible toride a metallic KoiguchiOrto surround Samegawa's Koiguchi.
